Gross Foreign Exchange Reserves of Nepalese Financial Systems for Jesth 2077 (Mid-June 2020) increased by 26.7% over the previous year. Also, the level of reserve increased significantly over previous month. Based on the imports of eleven months of current fiscal year, the foreign exchange holdings of the banking sector is sufficient to cover the prospective merchandise imports of 13.3 months, and merchandise and services imports of 11.7 months. The improvement is due to twin effect of increased remittance and decrease imports.
