Gross Foreign Exchange Reserves increased marginally over the previous year. The level of reserve increased marginally over previous month after marginal decline in previous month. The year on year growth of reserve became positive for the third time past ten months. Based on the imports of six months of current fiscal year, the foreign exchange holdings of the banking sector is sufficient to cover the prospective merchandise imports of 9.6 months, and merchandise and services imports of 8.4 months.
