Industrial export of Nepal is not encouraging. Total export of major commodities decreased by 2% over previous year. Export of Cardamom, Pashmina, Shoes and Sandals and Ready-made Garments fell significantly. Export of ready-made garments and Pashmina decreased by 9% and 16% respectively mainly due to fall in the export of these items to third countries whilst Export of shoes and Sandals decreased by 28% due to fall in the export of these items to India.
