Can Nepalese economy be compared with big business entities? We can, sometimes, compare two or more items in an unconventional way. One of such way is comparing GDP of Nepal with turnover of business entities. This looks funny but gives some sense.

Turnover of Coca Cola with about 700 k employees is comparable with GDP of Nepal (with 29.1 million population). Turnover of Facebook with less than 36,000 employees is much larger than GDP of Nepal. Therefore, if we can create a mega company with quality and innovation, it may contribute a lot to the prosperity of the nation.

It is worthwhile to note that the conglomerate’s businesses of the Samsung contributes around 15% of South Korea’s entire economy.
